In the marketing industry, blogging can be a critical resource for increasing SEO and site attendance. At the end of the day, it can even be the difference between meeting sales goals and beating them. But what a lot of business owners don’t realize is just how useful other business’s blogs can be.

Sure, we spend a lot of time thinking about how to get our own name out there, but what about our competitors? Is it beneficial to keep up with the information that they’re putting out? We think so— and after reading this article we think you will, too.

So without further ado, here are 4 of my favorite marketing blogs to follow online.

1. HubSpot

If you work anywhere near the marketing industry, I’m sure you guessed that HubSpot would be on this list. With over 4.5 million monthly visitors, HubSpot’s blog has become a widely recognized online resource for marketing professionals all over the world.

One of the reasons HubSpot’s marketing blog has received so much positive attention is because of it’s consistent versatility— a bit of an oxymoron, I know. This blog generates new content for its readers by the handful— keeping its audience consistently informed about the industry. On busy days, its writers put out anywhere from half a dozen to a dozen new articles per day. The best part? The content isn’t primarily technical.

Blog topics on HubSpot range from technical advice to personal advice to how-to’s to interactive tests and videos. With HubSpot’s help, there’s no telling how much valuable information today’s marketers are picking up.

2. Elegant Themes

First and foremost, this blog is easy to love. With a beautiful design and easy-to-navigate layout, finding an enticing Elegant Themes article is as easy as scrolling through your Pinterest page.

Elegant Themes is designed primarily for the WordPress user in search of a new theme for his or her site. However, what a lot of people don’t realize is just how useful these blog articles can be.

Much of the E.T. blog is dedicated to introducing and explaining how to use new online tools or updated programs (such as the WordPress divi builder). The thing that’s so helpful about this type of blog is that it breaks down complicated marketing processes until you’re left with a simple “do it yourself” task that doesn’t make you want to pull your hair out. Though this blog is a bit more technical than some of its competitors, it can be the most useful for solving specific marketing problems or acquiring new, valuable skills.

3. Moz Blog

With similar characteristics as Elegant Themes, Moz is another frequently read marketing blog that’s making an increasingly good name for itself.

The reason Moz made this list is obvious: for the technical marketer, there aren’t many better resources to turn to for help. Though the average marketer might not understand 100{a2396c2253210e4fe96a9350db4998fead2ccefaff88800abc5f9217fb562a1a} of Moz blog’s content, for many dedicated marketing professionals it can be used as an essential tool for success when it comes to topics such as SEO, user-generated content, content writing, keyword search, and much more.

In addition, one of my favorite features on this blog are the articles on industry events. Rather than virtually teaching subject after subject and hoping for the best, Moz provides its readers ample opportunities to get out and get good with the marketing industry. Of these events, I recommend all industry professionals look into the company’s own annual marketing event, called “MozCon”.

For those who don’t know, here’s what Moz blog writer, Ronell Smith, has to say about the upcoming event:

“MozCon has a rich tradition of bringing together the best and brightest minds in digital marketing, creating a place for individuals across the globe to learn from top-notch speakers, network, share ideas, and learn about the tools, services, and tactics they can put to use in their work and their business.”

And finally, I’ve saved the best for last. You didn’t really think you were getting through this whole article without seeing BoydTech’s name, did you? Selfishly, I want the name on this list because I write a lot of the content. But believe it or not, that’s not the reason I chose to add it.
