I’m off to WordCamp US today!

The conference is held all weekend in Nashville this year. If you don’t know what WordCamp is it’s “a conference that focuses on everything WordPress. WordCamps are informal, community-organized events that are put together by WordPress users. Everyone from casual users to core developers participates, share ideas and get to know each other.” WordCamps are hosted locally but WordCamp US is the largest North American WordCamp attracting people from all over the world! It lasts for 3 days and hosts around 2,000 attendees.

WordCamp US 2017

In the past I’ve attended two local WordCamps but this one will be different because I’ve been selected to be a volunteer! I’ll be helping out Friday morning at the happiness lounge which is where attendees can go to get technical support and training with any WordPress issue. I’ll also be at the swag station on Saturday afternoon so if you forget your t-shirt you know who to see!

I’m really looking forward to this opportunity and can’t wait to see what WordCamp has in store for us this year! I’m ready to learn, network, help and have fun!

As always, thanks for reading!
