Our Story

BoydTech Design was started in 2008 by two brothers, whose combined experience brings over 30 years of IT and artistic talent to the table.

BoydTech Design was initially formed to create web-based applications for the scientific and pet industries. Our patented technology revolutionized the way DNA testing on pets can be shared and performed. The innovative thinking that developed this technology is what helped transform BoydTech into the full-service web design, graphic design, online marketing, and consulting company it is today.

At BoydTech, we value our clients and want them to know they’ve chosen the best company for the job. Mike Boyd

Co-Founder & COO

After spending several years as a consultant for large companies, Mike is happy to be working with a smaller company. He enjoys working closely with a diverse range of clients, and strives to represent each one well in his work. His motto is “when my clients succeed, I succeed.”

As the lead designer and developer for BoydTech, Mike is here to oversee your project from start to finish. In addition, his IT experience makes him the go-to guy for all things tech support. If your site isn’t running with the latest software and security patches, he’s on it.

Mark Boyd

Co-Founder & CFO

Before co-founding BoydTech with his brother, Mark spent just under a decade in the IT and sales industries. His wide range of skills and experience brought him to where he is today. If you ask him, he’ll tell you that he truly is at home in the marketing world and looks forward to seeing BoydTech continue to grow in the industry. His motto is “Listen first, speak second”.

Currently, Mark serves as the creative and financial director at BoydTech. When numbers need crunching and projects need designing, he is here to handle it with a smile.

Emily Andrews

Emily Andrews

Digital Designer

Emily comes to BoydTech after receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Graphic Design from Pratt Institute in NYC. Her drive and ambition during college led her to internships at prestigious companies, including Hearst Corporation (for Harper’s Bazaar Magazine) and Time, Inc (for InStyle Specials Magazine).

After graduating, she accepted a position as a Graphic Designer for Wenner Media, where she worked in the circulation department for Rolling Stone, Us Weekly, and Men’s Journal magazines.

Emily joined the BoydTech team as a Digital Designer in 2015. She spends her work days building websites, creating graphics, and assisting on IT and design projects. Her motto is “WWWWD” — What Would Wonder Woman Do?

Amanda Myers

Amanda Myers

Creative Copywriter

Amanda graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising and a concentration in Business Administration. She recently joined the BoydTech team as our new creative copywriter/content creator. If you’re ever in need of a website makeover, she’s here to handle the copy for you. She enjoys taking on creative writing projects, and has high hopes of becoming a published author within the next few years. Amanda is also eager to learn more about digital marketing and graphic design, and is excited to be doing so at BoydTech Design!

Her motto is “be the person you needed when you were younger.
